CENTRAL COAST CAL-SOAP CONSORTIUM
Serving North Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties
The California Student Opportunity and Access Program, or Cal-SOAP, is a statewide program designed to increase the number of students attending college. The program serves elementary, middle school, high school, and community college students who:
- are from low-income families
- will be the first in their family to graduate with a bachelor's degree
- are from areas or schools with low-eligibility or college participation rates
By building collaborative relationships with federal, state and local sponsors, Cal-SOAP is working to increase the number or students who take advantage of postsecondary opportunities.
The goal of the program is to advise, motivate and inform students regarding college admissions and financial aid information. To achieve this goal, Cal-SOAP offers free tutoring and peer advising to students within the target population. For more information about Cal-SOAP CLICK HERE
